Hello and Happy Summer Solstice!
Me and my mom have always shared a love for the sun. We LOVE sunsets and sunrises – and growing up near Lake Erie meant we were lucky enough to witness some truly awesome views. Sometimes the sun made the sky look like cotton candy – all pink and blue and swirly, with puffy clouds that made you wish you could leap up and bounce from one to the next. That’s a pic of my mom with the sunshine mosaic mirror we made together a few summers ago – a little piece of sunshine we’ll always treasure.
This weekend, the sun will be out! (Thank the goddesses because the rain was starting to wear on me!) Come visit me at a market (or two!) this weekend or join me as I look ahead to July when – SURPRISE! – Mizz Mozaic will be a Spotlight Maker at Shop Made in VA in Old Town Alexandria! Sprinkle in a Mosaic Summer Camp in Vienna for budding artists and a weeknight creative hang at Caboose Commons in Mosaic District (more deets below!), and that’s sure to add some extra color to your summer evenings.
