Mizz Mozaic

Hello! I’m Jenlene (Jen – LEAN) aka “Mizz Mozaic” and I have been rocking the art of mosaic making for over 22 years! I’m so excited you are here!

A little about me…

In 2003, I began teaching mosaic classes for Arlington Community Learning in Northern Virginia. Since then, I have led private lessons, classes, workshops and corporate team-building events. I’ve created mosaic installations and hosted numerous mosaic-themed celebratory events including many milestone birthdays, bachelorette parties, Girl Scout gatherings, mom’s night out events and graduations. I have partnered with several local small businesses on many one-of-a-kind events including a pop-up mosaic shop where I opened my first public studio space in downtown Historic Herndon, VA! I’m proud to have attended the Chicago Mosaic School where I furthered my mosaic education at the premier center of education for the mosaic arts in the US.

I’ve had the opportunity to be part of many special projects and collaborations. I am always announcing exciting news about unique collaborations and social mosaic events that I host, so stay tuned!

The art of mosaic making is so much fun! It’s a therapeutic art that encourages us to relax and tap into our creative side. When I saw how much joy it brought to my students, I decided everyone needed to experience this ancient art form to add excitement, creativity and joy to their busy days. This is how the concept of Mizz Mozaic originated.

My loves include Mizter Mozaic, my mama, bro, running, theatre, travel, ketchup and Barry Manilow. I am also an RRCA certified running coach & race director, ACE certified personal trainer, proud volunteer coach of 10 seasons with Girls on the Run & a self-proclaimed bowling champion!
