AKA

Mizz Mozaic

I am Jenlene a.k.a. "Mizz Mozaic" & I have been rocking the craft of mosaic making for over 16 years. In 2003, I began teaching mosaic classes for Arlington Community Learning in Northern Virginia & haven't looked back. Since then, I have taught private lessons, small classes, workshops & corporate team-building events, created mosaic installations & hosted numerous mosaic-themed birthday, bachelorette & graduation parties. I am excited to announce that I am teaching a new mosaic class at the Herndon Community Center this fall! I'm also excited to have attended the Chicago Mosaic School early this year to further my mosaic education at the premier center of education for the mosaics arts in the United States.

I have had the opportunity to be involved in so many special projects recently, including a spectacular mosaic installation I've been working on for a new business in Herndon which will be unveiled this summer. I will will be announcing some exciting news in the coming weeks about  several social mosaic events I will be hosting this fall. I'm collaborating with some really special businesses - so stay tuned!

The art of mosaic-making is so much fun! It's a therapeutic art that encourages us to relax & tap into our creative side. When I saw how much joy it brought to my students, I decided everyone needed to experience this ancient art form to add excitement, creativity & balance to their busy days. This is how the concept of Mizz Mozaic originated.

My loves include running, theatre, travel, ketchup & Barry Manilow. I am an RRCA certified running coach & race director, a proud volunteer coach entering my 7th season with Girls on the Run & am a self-proclaimed bowling champion.

Here I am in one of my favorite pics! This is the day we unveiled the awesome mosaic founding member tree for Rowan Tree, a women focused coworking & cogrowth community. 50 hours of love went into making this piece and I couldn't be more excited to have been part of this!
